In my first few days I was winning a lot in Auto Chess at lower levels. Now I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong! That is... until I learned these 8 Tips for More Victories. Dominate your opponents more often with these thoughtful tips and tricks.

1st - Master Mad Money to Crush Your Foes
In training camp pay close attention to "Basic Revenue." To have the tactical edge you will also need to have the financial edge (like so much in life). Pay close attention to interest. If you don't need to spend to win save your gold. For every 10 gold you hold into the next round you will get an extra gold as interest.
so hold 10, 20, 30, 40, or 50 and stick to those for the 10% interest benefits.
There are other mechanics to pay attention to there in "Basic Revenue" but for sure pay attention to interest and win streaks in "Battle Revenue." If you can win while also stacking these in your favor you will easily be able to dominate.
You can't get more than 5 gold from interest. So, once you reach 50 gold held you can skim off the top of that everything to be simply wasteful. I mean, you can refresh the shop, buy sell, level up. At that point you're in a dominant economic position.

2nd - Embrace the Randomness of the Shop
Yes. It is confirmed. What you sensed was the case is actually true. The game can be lost and won largely by chance. This makes it a little less like chess and more like a card game. But not all is lost. You can still impact the outcome by masterfully blending pieces and synergies but a lot of the fun of the game is in mastering the chaos.
The shop is random and only a certain number of pieces are available. If someone else buys them they will not be available for others to buy. Use this to your advantage. Flow with the shop. Be the shop. More on this in the 8th Tip for spying on others.
3rd - Sort the Shop Saving Re-rolls
Your chess player level gives you more chances to see valuable pieces in the shop. Levels 8 through 10 open up valuable pieces you want to buy. Refreshing helps but is only useful to see more pieces at your current level.

Not all that shines is gold! One of my current strategies is to level up one of my early grey pieces. You will need to get a piece or two to level 2 or 3 quickly. Grey common pieces in the shop are good for that since you see them most often and they cost the least. Some of them have killer abilities!
I've noticed sometimes my chess board has too many pieces waiting for starring up. This strategy also minimizes clutter as you aim to star up green, blue, purple, and the coveted gold rarities.
4th - Have a Sound 3 Star Strategy
Another way to minimize stacking up too many pieces waiting to star up is to prioritize 2-stars. One of the quickest ways to defeat is to stress over making as many pieces as possible 3-star. They are cool but overrated and should not be aimed for at all. If they happen they happen.
Your best strategy is to prioritize getting as many pieces possible to 2 stars. If you need to sell any of them you will notice that they will also give you back a good gold return compared to 3 stars.
5th - Fancy Footwork Formation
Never under estimate the power of positioning. Where your pieces are on the board impacts their effectiveness. You may have to switch this up against specific players in the end-game. This is in reference to Tip 8 about spying on the top 4.
Knowing your pieces, how they move, and where to position them is vital. Some of your pieces (like assassins) need room to jump before being cornered to be powerful. Your tanks and healers need wise positioning, as well as your ranged fighters.
Having a generic strategy is good for position. As your skill increases you can fine tune it to crush specific formations and opponent pieces.
6th - Know All the Possible Playable Pieces
Knowing ALL the pieces and what they do will win you more battles. I'm still learning race and class "synergies" as well as all the individual pieces. The training camp is great for getting you started on the right foot but dive quickly into memorizing all 50+ pieces.
There are a few stand alone pieces that only need 1 on the board to activate their synergy. Placing them in the field activates their synergy.
Keep an eye out for:
Disablers! - Tsunami Stalker (AoE), Defector, Desperate Doctor, Storm Shaman, Siren, and Sky Breaker
Burst Damagers
Tanks
Pro Tip: Knowledge is power: study, memorize, and then absolutely crush your foes game after game.
7th - Transitioning from Mid to Late Game like a Pro
What works getting you to mid game might not get you through late game. Tip 6 for knowing all the pieces and how the best synergies change the battle will help you decide what pieces to keep for late game. You can start with one set leveling to 2 stars and sell them mid game for pieces planning a better strategy.

8th - Super Spy the Secrets of the Top 4
Click on your opponents’ portraits at the left side of the screen to see their boards. Notice the synergies, positioning, economy, and whatever you are capable of memorizing quickly. When there are 4 opponents left spying on them is a must!
